Ali’s 10 Rules
Be aware of your target audience: Tailor your review to the intended audience so you can include the relevant details dependant on who’s reading
Elaborate on your credibility: Explain why people should listen and trust your opinion in comparison to other people's opinion. Elaborate on your expertise in this subject.
Include comparisons: Mention other rankings/reviews that may help support your opinion, and/or compare the product you're reviewing to another product.
Don’t be biased: If you dislike the product and you’re writing a negative review, be sure to maintain a respectful tone and provide constructive criticism. Also give a general point of view on a product, don't choose to like or dislike the product just because of personal life experiences.
Explain why you chose to review that product: Elaborate on why you chose to review whatever it is you're reviewing. Explain what makes this product different or unique from other products you could have reviewed.
Include a summary: You must incorporate a summary that explains what the product is. And possibly even specific details about the product.
Mention information about people involved with the product: Be sure to touch on actors, actresses, and the creators of whatever product it is you are reviewing.
Touch on the creation/publication date: Make sure to mention when the product was created/published.
Include primary sources/quotations: If the product you are reviewing has quotations, then be sure to include one or two that may engage the audience or help explain your summary.
NO SPOILERS!: If you’re reviewing a product like a movie or show that can have spoilers, be sure to not spoil anything if your target audience is people who have not seen the product.
